Manifesto for World Revoluton

The 202s opened with humanity facing a combination of crises unprecedented in all history. Great power rivalry and imminent economic crisis have now been triggered and synchronised by the coronavirus pandemic. Overshadowing even that, accelerating climate change threatens melting ice caps, rising sea levels, expanding deserts and ever more destructive storms.

All these threats originate in the world's economic system, capitalism, in which both the methods of production and the products themselves are privately owned and controlled. just a handful of billionaires ultimately decide what is to be produced, how it is to be produced and where it will be produced. In their own interests, they organise and mobilise the hundreds of millions of people who actually produce everything.

This programme, standing in the revolutionary tradition of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotsky, draws on that tradition and the lessons of the last decade to chart a strategy for those hundreds of millions to overthrow the poweor of the capitalists and build a new society based on social ownership and democratic planning.
